Rio Branco edged away from the relegation zone after a goalless draw with Monte Azul. It was Monte Azul's fifth draw of the season and left them still searching their first victory of the season. Ituano's wretched run of form continued when they were defeated by Rio Claro. Jackson grabbed the only goal after 34 minutes to give Rio Claro their second win of the season. Ponte Preta remain on the edge of the play offs after a single goal from Deda half way through the first half was enough to see off Paulista. Portuguesa picked up their first win since Week 2 with a come from behind victory at Oeste. Kleber put Oeste ahead five minutes after half time but Fabrice Silva levelled the game with thirteen minutes to go. With the game heading for a draw, Portuguesa grabbed all three points in the last minute when Glauber struck.

Santo André remain in a play off place after twice coming from behind against Sertãozinho. Santo André were beind in the 14th minute when Mendes scored but the lead lasted only three minutes before Rodriguinho levelled. Pablo restored the lead of Sertãozinho after 32 minutes but a second from Rodriguinho saw the teams in level at half time. Marcel grabbed the winner for Santo André 11 minutes from time to keep them in fourth. Corinthians build up to the Libertadores continued with a comfortable win at Mogi Mirim. Souza put the Champions ahead after 33 minutes and then doubled the lead six minutes into the second half. Chicão wrapped things up fifteen minutes from time. Palmeiras coach Muricy Ramalho was fired after his teams 4-1 home defeat to São Caetano. A double from Eduardo and a third from Marcelo Batatais saw the vistors go into hald time three goals to the good. It got better for São Caetano five minutes after half time when Luciano Mandí made it four. Diego Souza got a consolation for Palmeiras with 64 minutes on the clock but it was too little too late for Ramalho. He has been replaced by Antonio Carlos Zaga who coincidentally leaves São Caetano to take over at the Palestra Itália.

Botafogo SP dropped to fourth after a late late penalty denied them victory at Mirassol. Joao Henrique put Botafogo SP ahead on the stroke of half time and it looked like that would be enough as the game went into injury time at the end of the game. But a needless penalty was conceded and Robert held his nerve to convert. Santos stay clear at the top after picking up their sixth successive win in a goal fest again Bragantino. The game was wrapped up by half time after goals from Wesley, Robinho and André Felipe. A second from Felipe right after the restart made it four before Diego Macedo pulled a goal back. Robinho then grabbed a second to make it five before Rodriguinho pulled another goal back. Zé Eduardo then made it six before Bragantino showed fighting spirit to pull another goal back. Finally São Paulo remain on the edge of the play offs after coming from behind to defeat Barueri. Marcos Assunção put Barueri ahead after 21 minutes but the lead was quickly cancelled out by Washington. A penalty from Marcelinho on the stroke of half time edged São Paulo ahead and Henrique wrapped things up in injury time as Barueri searched for an equaliser.
