Oeste made it five games unbeaten as they stay in "The Eight" after victory over a struggling Linense side who fell to their third straight defeat. One goal was enough for Oeste and it came with thirteen minutes on the clock from Anselmo Ramon. São Bernardo gained a 1-1 draw at the Vila Belmiro against Santos, a result that was enough to see coach Adilson Batista get the boot after just one victory in the last 5 league games. Elano went top of the scoring charts when he converted a penalty two minutes before the break but São Bernardo levelled half way through the second half courtesy of Raul. In the live Premier Sports TV game it was all over inside half an hour at the Pacaembu as Corinthians brushed aside Grêmio Prudente. Fábio Santos put Corinthians ahead from the spot with 13 minutes gone and Liédson took advantage of a goalkeeper error to double the lead six minutes later. When Dentinho added the third with 28 minutes gone it had the possibility of a six or seven goal thrashing about it, that dominant were Corinthians but they could only added a fourth five minutes from time when Liédson got his second of the game and his seventh of the season to leave the Musketeers the only undefeated side in the competition.

Mogi Mirim picked up their third was of the season when they surprised Americana. Zé Roberto got the winner for Mogi Mirim with a quarter of an hour gone, a result that lifts them into mid table. Americana, after their promising start have now dropped to the edge of "The Eight". Ponte Preta are now unbeaten in nine in all competitions after their 2-0 victory away at struggling Santo André. Renatinho put Ponte ahead with 27 minutes gone and Éverton Santos doubled the lead half way through the second half to wrap up the points. The big Sunday game at the Morumbi was delayed by a hour due to torrential rain as Palmeiras relinquished top spot after a 1-1 draw against São Paulo continued their poor run of results at the Morumbi. Fernandinho put São Paulo ahead with twenty five minutes gone but Adriano secured a point for the Big Green with a leveller six minutes from time. São Paulo finished the game with ten men after Alex Silva was sent off after clashing with Adriano but there was a cameo appearance for Rivaldo near the end of the game.

Ituano snapped a three game losing streak when they defeated a disappointing Botafogo SP. Éder Sciola put Ituano ahead from the spot with eleven minutes gone before Jonata Escobar doubled the lead just short of the half hour. Jefferson made it three twenty minutes from time before Anselmo got what turned out to be a consolation goal for Botafogo SP eleven minutes from time. No goals at Noroeste as the home side stay in the relegation zone after this result against São Caetano. Mirassol took advantage of Palmeiras' result in the Morumbi to go top of the table after a super 2-0 away win at Paulista. Gustavo Bastos put Mirassol ahead with fifteen minutes gone and Luis Henrique wrapped up the points thirteen minutes from time. Finally no goals at the Estádio de Canindé as Bragantino picked up a point at Portuguesa, a result that leaves them leading the chase to break into "The Eight".
