The draw for the 51st Edition of the Copa Santander Libertadores took place at CONMEBOL Headquarters in Asunción last Wednesday. Most berths have yet to be filled but teams in brackets are the current position holders. The games begin with the Qualifying Round in the week beginning January 18th.

We'll be a better idea in the New Year
The 8 group winners plus the six best runners up will qualify for the Round of 16. They will be joined there by Mexican clubs Guadalajara and San Luis, ranked 13th and 14th respectively, after the H1N1 virus forced their withdrawal from the competition at this stage in 2009 and they have been invited by CONMEBOL to join the competition at this stage this year.
