Campeonato Paulista A1 - Semi Final 1st Leg

São Paulo 2-3 Santos
Prudente 1-2 Santo André

Santos are in pole position to qualify for the final of the Campeonato Paulista after a dramatic victory over São Paulo in the Morumbi. Santos were two up at the break after a deflected goal from Léo and then André Felipe arrived at the back post to net the second. But the ten man São Paulo revival started 7 minues into the second half when Hernanes pulled a goal back with a powerful drive and then Dagoberto's header levelled half way through the second half. When it looked like the teams would go back to the Vila Belmiro all square but Durval popped up a minute from time to head home the winner and give Santos the advantage for next weeks return game.

At the Prudentão, Santo André came from behind to take an advantage into next weeks return game against Prudente. Diego headed Prudente ahead four minutes before half time but Santo André were level four minutes after the break after Branquinho slotted home. Eight minutes later they grabbed an advantage after Rodriguinho was first to react after the Prudente goalkeeper could only parry a free kick as Santo André look to win their first ever state title.

The return games take place this Sunday.

Meanwhile the first legs of the Torneio Interior also took place at weekend

Ponte Preta 0-0 Botafogo SP
Oeste 1-0 São Caetano

In the upstate Championship, unlike the main event, there was only one goal scored over the two games. Ponte Preta and Botafogo SP played out a scoreless draw in the opening game and Oeste grabbed a slender advantage in their tie against São Caetano. Ricardo Bueno got the only goal of that game on the hour. The return games take place on Saturday
